Write for us
Global Food Journal welcomes pitches that bring food culture into focus through a well-defined question, a useful explanation or a vivid piece of context. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article.
What we welcome
We consider pitches about ingredients, kitchen craft, food history, foodways and the life of the table. Strong ideas explain a particular subject clearly, make room for cultural nuance and offer readers something they can understand or use without relying on unsupported claims.
Shape a useful pitch
Tell us the proposed subject, the central question, why it suits Global Food Journal and the main points you would cover. Note the kind of material you would draw on and flag any relevant personal, commercial or other interests. A focused idea is easier to assess than a broad promise to cover food around the world.
Before you send
Keep the proposal original and specific. We are not looking for promotional copy, generic recipe collections or claims that reduce a diverse food culture to a single rule. We may ask follow-up questions, but sending a pitch does not guarantee publication or establish an assignment.
Where to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include your name, a way to reply and the pitch itself. Please do not send confidential personal information or a complete unpublished manuscript unless requested.
Food is knowledge we share
Ingredients and techniques travel, change and take on new meaning. Looking closely at food helps us notice the craft and care behind a meal.
